Darrell Ward
Darrell Ward is an artist based in Black Diamond, Alberta. He studied at the Alberta College of Art & Design in Calgary. Darrell’s passion is capturing Alberta’s beautiful wilderness and wildlife.
“I love to drive out to Kananasis, or anywhere in the Canadian Rocky Mountain Foothills, past the herds of elk that wander the roads,” says Darrell. “I’ll set up an easel on the steering wheel of my old Dodge van, and paint right there on site."
“Many of my paintings reflect the trees and mountains of this area throughout the seasons. I also paint flowers, animals and other locations, and enjoy creating commissioned pieces. I work with acrylic and, occasionally, watercolour.”
