Lisa loves impressionism, expressionism & fauvism!
Working predominantly in oil paintings , and painting mostly landscapes, she enjoys bright bold colour and thickly applied, luscious texture!
She is mostly self taught, having enjoyed a few art workshops along the way.
Lisa swoons over the artworks of Van Gogh (her fave), the Group of Seven, Monet, and a giant handful of modern day artists as well.
Art walks during the summer of 2019 were a great fun, success & inspiration, and she hopes to attend a circuit of art walks for 2020.
Like most other people, she loves beautiful landscapes, flowers, wildlife....and being outdoors in nature which is maybe why she is drawn to paint mostly landscapes infused with dancing wildflowers
Born in Ontario, raised on Vancouver Island and currently living in Alberta with her husband, she left her career as a Power Engineer at a sawmill, and is currently following her heart to paint full time.
